Fall '07

Most people say they hate the fall because it's the start of winter and cold weather etc..., but there are so many things to see and feel in the fall.  The leaves changing to gorgeous shades of yellow, orange, red, and browns.  And no tree is the same one tree is more orange and the next tree is a mixture of yellows and reds.  Or they are a mixture of all the colors at once they are so beautiful and the sky is full of fat, puffy, white clouds with silver linings.  The sky is a bright, pure blue with a golden sun shedding it's warmth on cool and windy days.    :)

And windy days are good too it blows the leaves from the trees so that rainbows of fall time colors go flying and dancing past and lay on the ponds, fields, and of course our yards.  Then we get to rake them up which is work yes but when you have lots of friends to laugh and talk too and hot chocolate or coffee to keep you warm it is fun to rake up the leaves and use them to make scare crows on Halloween or to jump in to them and have leaf fights.  :D

The squirels and chipmunks are scurrying around gathering nuts and acorns for the winter and they fight over them they are so fun to watch.  My dogs love to chase them and tree them.  The squirels will climb up just out of their reach turn around and chatter at them and it drives them crazy and they bark and whimper even more.  :D

These are some of my favorite things about fall besides hot chocolate with marsh mellows and to sit on the porch wrapped in a blanket and watch the sunset or to curl up on the couch and watch a good movie, read a good book, or of course chat with some good friends.  There are so many little things in life that make life worth living.  These things about fall brighten my smile and my heart to keep me warm as winter sets in.  Winter has it's own beauty of course but I"ll write about that when winter actually hits.
