Amber's Abode

me with a fan blowing my hair

I'm 31 and live in Portland, Oregon. I have cerebral palsy, and use a power wheelchair.

I love anything to do with music, especially karaoke recently, computers, Anime, kids, people, writing, reading, watching movies, enjoying outdoors when it's not raining, pretty much life in general.

I play Scrabble fairly well, and I'm currently working on improving my almost nonexistent chess game. I'm hoping to get further into digital photography soon as another outlet.

My newest hobby is playing Texas hold em for free, online or in person, and I'm getting pretty good at it.

Starving Writer

Like all starving writers, if you can afford to donate it, I would appreciate it.

I guess I should write something here, while I'm waiting for my shower.

Not much has happened worth reporting, except that last Wednesday I won seven hands of poker and am getting better. This coming Wednesday I intend to make it to the final table, at least. It's so much fun. I wish I had started earlier. I'm going to start playing online for free as well as with my computer.

Oh, and I sold my laptop for $300. Considering it needs repairs and the fact that it was new at around $600 and that I didn't pay for it to begin with, I'm pretty happy. 300% profit. :-). And I've already calculated that that is worth 15 more cab rides.

They haven't started me on my phone answering job here yet, still waiting for the headset.

I went on Thursday also to my usual place for the dance party in the back. It wasn't very crowded, so it was fun. And one of the DJs said that if I make a mix CD with the beats matched and everything, she will play it. I'm really happy. I'm the world's worst wannabe DJ. But now I have to find some software that will help me mix properly. And figure out a good DJ name.

That's all the news that's fit to print. :-).
